Sometimes I feel like I was just a little too late to do stuff on the internet, I grew up watching creators go to stuff like vidcon when it was in it’s prime, start collaborations and make amazing art and entertainment, and now that I’m not a kid everything just goes to shit. Vidcon this year was apparently pretty AI heavy, and let’s be honest, youtube itself has been getting shittier for years now. Most people who want to be “Influencers” (fucking hate that word btw) go on mind numbing shit like tiktok and instagram to chase fame instead of creating for themselves. I mean that’s the whole reason I started writing here. I don’t mean for this whole post to be a downer, so here’s something that doesn’t suck.

Aw shit have I really not done an update in 10 days?? Well I WAS going to finish my huge reflections on the error of my ways and how that’s made me feel distant from people but is largely the fault of my lack of self confidence, But I might as well just put something else out instead. First up is Splatoon Raiders: It’s everything I wanted for the game. The difficulty is perfect (and it’s hilarious the easy mode is called ‘tourist’), and the gameplay is extremely well designed. It sucks when you fail a raid, especially when you’re a few sublayers down, but the skill points that you earn make up for it, because you can upgrade and go back down! It took some of the rougelike elements from the ‘Splatoon 3: Side Order’ DLC, and mixed that with Salmon Run and Singleplayer modes to create an experience that is definitely worth the (pretty cheap for a nintendo game) $50. The ability to call for other players’ help for a Raid is very helpful, especially if you need just a little bit of a push to finish it. All the little side content you can do is very fun, The crane minigame is cool, and I like how the boxes are exactly where you leave them when you go out. I do wish there were more hairstyles though, hell, the could’ve taken a bunch from Splatoon 3 and it would be fine by me.
Okay, Next up is a game I’ve been getting a lot more into recently, Voices of the Void, I was introduced to it by watching Vargskelethor Joel’s streams on the game, and after watching like 20 of the highlight videos I had to try it for myself. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call it a horror game, But that doesn’t fully describe it. If I were to try, I’d say it were a spookysimsourcelikesandbox. Several of the events seen tailor made for Joel and they also scare the hell out of me, I don’t want to spoil a lot of the game, But if you want a well crafted spookysimsourcelikesandbox, this is the game for you. Well, I’ve been writing for about 15 minutes, I think that’s enough for today, I’ll get back to work on my other projects now that I’ve figured out how to help myself actually do work.

I don’t like to think of this as a blog, mostly because I don’t think it really qualifies as one, Sure I write stuff on the internet no one will ever see but I think the word blog has a lot of negative connotations with it. I think there’d better be a new word for it but that sounds stupid as hell. The word blog came from the word weblog (web log) and was cut in half by Peter Merholz, into the words “we blog”, And this is kind of like a dev log or a ramble shit or whatever. So like devlog would be like vlog, but that’s already something (video log). And rlog sounds bad too, So I’ll do Fucking Bullshit Log. FBlog. [SPOILERS FOR DELTARUNE ] Now that it's been a few weeks since deltarune chapter 5 was released, I’ve gathered my thoughts about it. The gameplay is the best of all of the chapters. I REALLY hope that they reuse parts of it in the next chapters, Similar to how the climbing gimmick from chapter 4 was reused quite a bit in this one. I’ve overheard a lot of people saying that asgore was vagueposting near the end of the chapter in his monologue, And while I don’t personally agree with that, (I think it makes since he wouldn’t bring up something that was probably really bad with his child) I can see why some people feel that way, though to me it would feel like a random lore dump. Anyway, all the characters were very enjoyable and extremely funny. I have also heard criticisms about the chapter being too funny and lighthearted for a lot of it , I agree that at some points it can be a bit much, It was always advertised as one last really fun chapter before the storm, (excluding weird route). Speaking of which, The weird route was extremely chilling, Especially the ending and the part where noelle is not speaking, only thinking. The way you abort the route is not by hitting stop but by just not saying proceed fast enough, and the game just continues the normal route with several changes, but what worries me is Susie will still show noelle castle town, and that won’t be good after her going crazy and then thinking it’s a dream. Anyway, continuing with the normal route, the secret boss is one of my favorites, and I really enjoy all of the parallels between Pink and her Body and the Soul and Kris. Overall this is an extremely good and well made chapter, with amazing gameplay and fantastic art, It might be one of the best chapters in the game so far, Although it’s not without flaws.

The discussion of video games, and PC costs altogether in recent times has gotten so much worse. And what really put the nail in the coffin for me was the reveal of the Steam Machine’s price point for the base model of $1049.00. I feel what most people were expecting is a console that can do PC things, But what we got is a PC that acts like a console. The price was AI’s fault. It has a PC price point but with a console user market, Most of which, frankly do not understand pricing. There are many people now saying that anyone who defends valve for the pricing is a valve bootlicker, much like how anyone defending nintendo in any way when the Switch 2 launched was a nintendo bootlicker, and it just feels like most people don’t understand that the world is really fucked right now. Either that or nuance is truly dead.

Nintendo direct was just announced, and there’s hope for deltarune. I’m thinking the treehouse life after it is going to be about splatoon raiders though, and I’m also excited for that, In other news, nothing else is going on. Half-Life PS2 Head-to-head mode is genuinely really fun to pick up for a few rounds, and it’s just like 30 seconds to set up. A lot of the time I say one sec, for one second. Except a few times I’ve messed up and said it for multiple seconds, so i say secs, so i just sound weird, like bro why did you say gimme a few sex?

Today is the day, I’m gonna see the digital circus movie tonight, see if it’s any good. I’ll update here if it is. I bought the caine pin to wear to it (to show my side). In the meantime, most of my schoolwork has been completed, so now I have way more time to work on SHAKEBREAK. Finals season is upon us, which means thousands of students around the world are struggling mentally currently, and I am no exception. The amount of work I have to do for spanish ALONE is staggering, and it’s due TOMORROW. So why am I writing this when i should be working on that? Because I CANT. Anyway, I’ve been procrastinating on this website anyways, so I might as well do this in the meantime. I’ve been building up a backlog of “taglines” for posts, After this I have 7 to go, probably 8 by tomorrow. It’s really easy to make taglines though, I just find something obscure, or, not, and reference it. Or I’ll just make a joke. If you spent time looking for what I was referencing and it just turned out to be a joke, Sorry.

This playing toys shit can get pretty serious
After a little bit of tinkering, I was able to get the udcd plugin for playstation vita to work, and now I can record my vita’s gameplay. Since it acts like a camera, I’ve been able to play pranks on a few people by acting as though I’m running an older version of minecraft through my chromebook camera. I’ve received reactions such as “What the fuck” “Who are you” and “Can you please leave the premises?!?” For some reason people are more interested as to why I’m always reaching into my backpack instead of the game, oddly enough.

So there were/are several “leaks” for the finale of The Amazing Digital Circus floating around. Personally, I don’t believe they’re real. Mostly because of several little details. First, in the 14 minute leak, There’s a name and text superimposed on the whole video, Gooseworx basically said in a few posts on bluesky that the movie is almost complete, and hasn’t been sent to theaters, in the top corner of the video there’s text that says: “For Brazillian Accessibility Reference Only” (Yes, Brazilian is misspelled with 2 L’s) which as far as I know isn’t a think that exist. The name in the center is one “antonio cavalieri junior” which doesn’t bring up anything on google or linkedin, but to be fair whoever he is could just not be on those sites. The timestamp starts at 00:35:31:17, which is just about the time as the ending of episode 8, so that almost lines up by a few seconds.

Where everyday is the 15th of mayyyy
Coding is cool and all but it really hurts my brain to do html and stuff for this website. It took me like two weeks to make it look like this, and I feel like I'll probably leave it like this for a while. The domain costs me $11 a year, and my friend bought it for me, so i’m trying to utilize it a lot. I don’t want to buy a server or self host, so that’s why I use github pages. Funnily enough, as I was adding this post, the thing decided to make me go through hell to add that link to the image. Thanks.

It sure is handy that MOST numbers after 3 use “th” after it because then i can keep procrastinating on writing more things. The more days of spring that go by the more i wonder where Toby Fox’s spring newsletter is. The progress on my game, SHAKEBREAK is going well. I’ve almost written something. The basic movement sprites are almost done which you can check out over on the shakebreak part of this site.

A thing I very much enjoy doing is messing with people, because gaslighting is hilarious, even though it’s not real. A few weeks ago in friend discord server named “Communsim” I repurposed an old account, renamed it to Karl Marx, and kicked a member of the server, and reinvited him along with Karly boy clearing me of suspicion from the audit log. All I had to do was play it cool, as they usually know something is me immediately. As soon as the CEOs of uno and shit noticed how popular one of the spinoff card games were they started pumping them out. Weird.

I’m not a web designer, at least not professionally, so that’s why this site kinda looks like shit, but at the same time it’s close to the aesthetic that I wanted anyways. It’s more difficult editing this site on github, which is how it’s hosted, but at least it’s free. The amount of people who agree with the “Just give me the fucking .exe” post is crazy to me. Using github isn't that hard, it’s just slow or annoying sometimes.

I was talking with one of my friends about WWWW1, (World Wide Web War 1) and he wondered how people could get so worked up over a bit of internet drama.
